# What AgentTrove is

> An agent that lives inside your website and answers visitors from the pages and documents you have already published.

AgentTrove houses an agent inside your website. You point it at a site you own; it reads the pages and the documents they link to, and answers questions from that material alone. Every answer shows the page it came from, so you and the person asking can both check it.

## The two things to understand first

- It answers only from what you published. No general knowledge about your industry, no plausible filler — if the answer is not in what it read, it says so and points the person at you.
- Putting it on your site is one line before the closing body tag. Removing the line removes the agent; nothing else on your site changes.

## Where things live

- Your console: `https://app.agenttrove.ai` — sign in, point at a site, read the answers.
- The public shelf: [agenttrove.ai/agents](/agents) — this brand’s listed agents.
- Questions people actually ask: the [FAQ](/faq) reads like the docs, shorter.

Machines should start at [connect from an agent](/docs/connect-from-an-agent) — this site is agent-operable without scraping.
